Precise wording, where the narration summarises: under the SEC Marketing Rule your public website is an advertisement, and Rule 204-2(a)(11) requires advisers to keep a copy of each advertisement they disseminate. Each saved copy carries a SHA-256 fingerprint, so you can show what each page looked like when it was captured.

Your website is an advertisement, too.

SEC Rule 204-2 says keep a copy of every version you publish.

No more screenshots or PDFs in a folder. No more remembering to save them.

Turret checks your pages on a schedule and saves a dated copy whenever one changes, automatically, as an image, HTML and text.

Every copy is fingerprinted, so you can show exactly what was live, and when.

Website archiving is included with Turret Email, Turret Marketing and, of course, Turret Complete.

The HTML and a full-page image, every change.

On a regular schedule Turret checks each tracked public page, and when one has changed it stores a new dated version, with the HTML source, a full-page image and a SHA-256 hash of what was stored.

If a site blocks automated visits, a page may be saved as HTML only, and the archive says which pages.

See which version was live, day by day.

Every version is kept, and the calendar shows which captured version was current on each day, so you can show what your website said on a given date.

Your own site at once. Others reviewed.

Turret pre-fills your address from your firm’s email domain and accepts your own domain as soon as you confirm it, while any other address goes to our team for review and nothing on it is captured until it is approved.

Changing your website address later keeps every version already captured.

Questions

Is website archiving included in my plan?

Yes. It is included with Email and with Marketing, and Complete has both. There is no separate price for it. You can turn it on from Settings.

Can Turret archive a site that isn't on our domain?

Yes, after review. Your firm's own domain is accepted as soon as you confirm it. Any other address becomes a request that our team approves or declines, and you get an email with the decision; if we decline, the email gives the reason.
